    Longtime Groveland resident Emilienne "Mimi" (Divet) Sura died Saturday at a Sonora hospital. She was 96.
    She was born in Tiaret, Algeria, and lived in Groveland for 24 years. In 1910, her family moved from Algeria to Dollar, Saskatchewan, Canada, to farm wheat. In 1918, they moved to Tahiti to raise vanilla beans on a plantation.
    They moved to San Francisco in 1923 where her father met William Randolph Hearst and went to work for him. She was married in 1923 and had two children. She worked at Hearst Castle as a personal maid. Four years later, she became a personal maid for movie star Lilly Damita in Hollywood just before World War II.
    Her family said then she became "Mimi the Riveter" at Northrup Aircraft in Inglewood, Los Angeles County. She sailed on the Queen Mary, a military troop ship, in 1946.
    After the war, she sailed to Paris. She flew in Junker 88, a German bomber at one time, to Algeria, and while there she attended an Arab tribal gathering with French diplomats.
    She was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic church in Groveland and Big Oak Flat Rebekah Lodge.
    Her hobbies included travel, ceramics and cooking.
    She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Orval and Jackie Luckey of Greagle, Butte County; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Paul Wollitz of Groveland; brothers, Armand Divet of Paris, Arsene Divet of Spain and Edmond divet of Agen, France; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Sura.
    A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. tomorrow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Groveland.
    Heuton Memorial chapel is handling arrangements.

    Notice having been given this Lodge by Bro G.E. Watson on June 19, 1883 that on the preceeding day June 18 Bro P.G. (Prior Grand) E.G.L. Tomberlin had died suddenly at Marble Springs Mariposa Co. haing fallen from a steep bank and dislocated his neck. Bro P.G. John Sargent proceeded to the scene of the accident on the morning of the 19 and brought down the body reaching here about midnight of the same date and deposited the remains of deceased in the Hall of Yosemite Lodge #97 at Big Oak Flat from which place deceased was duly interred June 20 at 1 o'clock pm by the Lodge. Bro J.C. McLaughlin acting as Marshall and Bros Foot, Bruschi, Murrow and Bros from Coulterville Lodge as Pall-bearers.

    Longtime T uolumne County resident Coy Urquhart died Dec. 28 at an Oakdale hospital. He was 85.
    He was born in Hammon, Okla., and lived in Tuolumne County for 50 years. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 18 years and served with the U.S. Army for four years during World War II.
    Mr. Urquhart is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris Urquhart of Groveland; a son, Jack Urquhart of Groveland; three grandsons, Paul and Peter Urquhart, both of Santa Rosa, and Chad Urquhart of San Rafael; three great-grandchildren, Kayla Urquhart of San Rafael and Cameron and Daniel Urquhart, both of Santa Rosa; and a nephew and his wife, Lee and Sandy Wothe of Groveland.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Urquhart, and by a niece, Judy Wight.
    Private family burial was held.
    Donations can be made to the Neuropathy Association, General Post Office, P.O. Box 26226, New York N.Y. 10087-6226.

    Jack Urguhart, a 23 year resident of Groveland, died Oct. 26 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. He was 66. Mr. Urquhart was a psychiatric technician for 25 years as a California state employee.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Coy Urquhart, in 2003; a brother, Steve Urquhart, in 1985; and a daughter, Cassandra, in 1967.
    Survivors include his mother, Doris Urquhart, of Groveland; two sons, Peter Urquhart, of San Raphael, and Chad Urquhart, of Santa Rosa; two granddaughters, Kayla Urquhart and Chloe Urquhart, both of Santa Rosa; his ex-wife, Dolly Urquhart, of San Rafael; and a nephew, Paul Urquhart, of Santa Rosa; his aunt, Dorothy Wothe, of Groveland; his cousin and wife, Lee and Sandy Wothe, of Groveland; and their son, John Wothe, of Groveland.
    A graveside service was scheduled at 1 p.m. today at Oak Grove Cemetery. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
