In San Francisco, Tuesday morning, Nov. 2nd, a quiet but pretty wedding was solemnized, the contracting parties being Miss Julia R. HALLINAN, a native daughter of Coulterville, and John GUSTAFSON of Bartlett Springs. Rev. Father REDAHAN of Corpus Christi church performed the marriage ceremony in the presence of near relatives of the bride and bridegroom.
Mrs. GUSTAFSON is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John HALLINAN, pioneers of Mariposa county. She is a sister to this correspondent. The honeymoon is being passed in Southern California. Mr. and Mrs. GUSTAFON will make their home at Bartlett Springs, Lake county.

Word has just been received here of the death of Mrs. G. W. MAY, which occurred at her home in Springville, Tulare County on December 28, 1921.
Mrs. MAY, at the time of her death, was 66 years of age. For many years she was a resident of Coulterville.
Mrs. MAY was the mother of four children, Mrs. Nora SHEEHAN (deceased), L. L. BROWN of Idaho, J. E. BROWN of Coulterville and Walter M. BROWN of Madera. Her sons Walter and James were with her when the end came.
The body was laid to rest in the Porterville cemetery beside her mother, brother and other members of the family. She died on 28 December 1921 at Springville, Tulare Co., California; MAY, Mrs. G. W. January 14, 1921 Mariposa Gazette

William Mitchell and Maria (McSwain) Mitchell Adams were divorced before 1905; The 1910 census reports that Maria has been in her second marriage for 5 years.

     Alexander McSwain was born in June 1835 at Missouri.1 He was the son of Daniel McSwain.2 Alexander McSwain married Sarah McSwain circa 1859.1 Alexander McSwain died on 28 October 1930 at Fresno, Fresno Co., California, at age 95.3

    W. J. McSWAIN, a member of a well known family residing for many years on the Merced river, died at Fresno Wednesday from consumption. He engaged in farming for a number of years near Fresno and latterly had been on the police force there as a detective. He was a native of Merced county and was about 34 years of age. He is survived by his parents, four sisters and three brothers.
