Since 1975, Mr. Adler was an active member in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a vessel inspection officer at Don Pedro Reservoir and on the Delta for many years, and held various offices, including commander of the Modesto Flotilla, division captain, president of the Past Captain's Association and 11th District patrol coordinator.
