He was (an unknown value) at Bus driver at Tenaya School, Groveland, Tuolumne Co., California.1 He CAUTION -- TOO COMMON A NAME NOT TO CHECK! Was this the same Smitty who worked for CalTrans -- or possibly county road dept -- (retired in the early 2000's) and lived on Hwy 120 in Big Oak Flat on the hill just above the Suburban Propane office? Perhaps Leonard Cassaretto can confirm OR differentiate between two or more Smittys who have lived on the hill ??? Doesn't really look like it -- my guess is that Smitty who lived in Big Oak Flat was born more like in the late 1930's or early 1940's. The Smitty of this record was born in 1929. Smitty Smith was also known as Gilbert Smith. He served in the US Army 101st Airborne Paratrooper Division circa 1948.5 He lived between 1960 and 2011 at Tuolumne Co., California.
