Carmel Cemetery, Big Oak Flat, Tuolumne Co., California;
There is a partial stone for Hannah, Timothy, and their son John in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In 2008 the Groveland Museum website posted on their "Can You Help Us?" page a photo of the stone asking if anyone knows where in the cemetery it belongs. From Bill Koch in Sonora comes the story that the stone was found in a streambed and returned to the cemetery. Consider: this family does not appear in the baptismal or burial registers of St Patricks Church, Sonora. There are no burial permits for either Hannah or Timothy in the Tuolumne County Recorder's Office. The family is known to have lived in Mariposa Co. in an area usually served by the Groveland-Big Oak Flat community. Does this stone belong in OLMC or in the Divide? Also note that the family appears in the Repashy collection, indicating that it was at OLMC by 1983.1,3
