Narcisco Bisordi

Former Sonora resident Raymond Narcisco Bisordi died May 14 at an Oregon hospital. He was 90.
He was born in Groveland and was the son of Narcisco and Amelia (De Ferrari) Bisordi. He attended Sonora High School and graduated from Livermore High School. He attended technical school in Los Angeles. He worked in sound departments for Columbia Pictures, R.K.O. Pictures, Warner Bros., and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc., on many films including "Dr. Zhivago," "Ice Station Zebra," "Grand Prix," "West World" and "2001 — A Space Odyssey."
After retiring from MGM as a sound engineer, he lived in Watsonville, Los Banos, Groveland and Sonora. He most recently had lived in Applegate, Ore., for two months.
He enjoyed surf fishing, gardening and traveling.
Mr. Bisordi is survived by his wife of 23 years, June Bisordi of Applegate; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray Leon and Louise Bisordi of Burbank, Larry and Velma Bisordi of Dos Palos, Merced County, and Robert Bisordi of Fair Oaks; grandchildren and their spouses, Raymond and Angela Bisordi, and Larry and Denise Bisordi, all of Burbank, and Chuck and Andrea Bisordi of Colorado; great-grandchildren, Branden and Jason Bisordi, and Megan, Carley and Brooke Bisordi, all of Burbank, and Ben and Sam Bisordi of Colorado; a sister, Delma Donovan of Groveland; nieces and nephews, Patricia Bock of San Geronimo, Christine Gookin of Columbia, Tim Donovan of Davis, and Dawn Ashbach of Guemes Island, Wash.; cousins, Carlo De Ferrari and Ken Bisordi, both of Sonora, and Shirley Beerman of Jamestown; and other relatives, Roy and Ruth DeVee of Williams, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Eileen Bisordi; a sister, Christine (Bisordi) Hale; and a brother, Charles D. Bisordi.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
