Campbell Police Report, from Sgt. Gary Berg:
On November 30, 2013, at approximately 2:29 PM, the Campbell Police Department responded to 245 Union Avenue on a report of two subjects suffering gunshot wounds. Upon officers' arrival, it was determined that Annie Andrews (92 years old of Campbell) and her husband, Paul Andrews (89 years of Campbell) were deceased.
Through their investigation, Detectives determined that there had been an existing agreement between Paul Andrews and his wife that if one was unable to take care of the other, they would take their own lives. It appears that Annie Andrews' health had been declining in the weeks leading up to November 30, 2013. Based upon the statements of family and neighbors, the crime scene, and the autopsy, it appears that the murder-suicide was a pre-planned event based upon the agreement between Mr. and Mrs. Andrews.
While the investigation remains active, at this time, the Campbell Police Department does not believe that there was anyone else involved other than Mr. and Mrs. Andrews.
