  1. [S1441] Steve Noland, "Musante-Noland property Blanket Creek," e-mail to Hictory Resource Center, 24 Aug 2011, I hope you can help me in my family research. One of my distant relatives, now deceased, claims that the Musante family purchased land from my family, the Noland's, probably in the late 1890's or early 1900's. If that is true, I would like to find the exact location of the land, and any information you might have, as several of my relatives, including my great-great Grandfather, Caleb Smout Noland (1816-1872), are buried there.

Caleb Noland settled in the Blanket Creek area near Sonora in 1853, and when he died in 1872, was buried near his farmhouse, which later became the Musante farmhouse. (By the way, one of Caleb's daughters was Emily Eva Noland Acker, who is included in your website.)

If you have any information on the Musante farm, please let me know. Thanks so much!
