    Longtime Pine Mountain Lake resident Albert "Al" Compton died Friday at his home. He was 72. He was born and raised in San Jose. He was from a family of 11 brothers and sisters. He graduated from Lincoln High School in San Jose and worked as a truck drive with Teamsters Local No. 287 for 33 years.
    He married Marge Sousa in 1983. He retired at age 55 and moved to Pine Mountain Lake in 1987. He was a past president of Cambrian Men's Club in San Jose and member of Pine Mountain Lake Men's Club. He was an avid golfer.
    Mr. Compton is survived by his wife, Marge Compton of Pine Mountain Lake; a son, Albert Compton of San Jose; daughters, Lisa Compton of Florida and Denise Compton of Stockton; grandchildren, Michael compton of Pensacola, Fla., and Melanie Compton of Lodi; stepsons, Mark and Michael Seeley, both of San Jose; and sisters, Dorothy Williams of Cupertino, Helen Firenze of El Dorado Hills and Edith Maciel of Saratoga. A Graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Big Oak Flat.
