    Mr. Brumby is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lori Brumby, of Groveland; sons, Ray Giles, of Temecula, Riverside County, Tom Brumby, of Camarillo, Ventura County, John Brumby Jr., Chris Brumby, of Murietta, Riverside County, and Brian Giles, of Manteca; daughters, Pamela Hall and Laurie Dempsey, both of Lake View Terrace, Los Angeles County, Sally Hurley, of Irvine, Linda DeVinney, of Ventura, and Cindy Bunn, of Byron, Contra Costa County; 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Karen Strobough, of Sacramento, and Garrett Brumby, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
    A graveside inurnment is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Groveland.

    Groveland resident John P. Brumby died March 12 at his home. He was 76.
    He was born in Hollywood and lived in Groveland for 35 years. He worked as a generator operator for a motion picture business for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, camping, boating, RVing and riding motorcycles. Mr. Brumby was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
