    She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Sonoma.
    Mrs. Ridenour is survived by her children, Connie Boysen, of Susanville, Tom and wife Linda Bakke, of Sonoma; stepson and his wife, Terry and Karen Ridenour, of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Brigitte and husband Mark Foster, of Taylorsville, Wendy Phillips, of Modesto, and Alex Boswell, of Davis; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Donald Solem, of Montana, and Norris Solem, of South Dakota.
    In addition to her parents and second husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Kathryn Shultz and Herb Solem.
    A service has already been held.

     Robert Francis Stofle was born on 29 August 1917 at Palisaides, Colorado.1 He was the son of George Stofle and Mrs. Elva Stofle.2 Robert Francis Stofle married Jeanette (Paris) Stofle in 1942 at Oakland, Alalmeda Co., California.3 Robert Francis Stofle died on 3 September 2011 at Sonora, Tuolumne Co., California, at age 94.1

    Groveland resident Robert Francis Stofle died Saturday at Meadow View Manor in Sonora. He was 94.
    Born in Palisades, Colo., to George and Elva Stofle, the family moved to Oakland in 1919, where his father worked as a mechanic for the Southern Pacific Railroad.
    He graduated from Fremont High School in 1935, where he met his wife Jeanette Arlene Paris. The couple married in Oakland in 1942.
    He was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, during which he was assigned to cargo flight missions based in Calcutta, India. He flew C47 cargo planes over the Himalayan Mountains into China that contained fuel for the Flying Tigers air fighters who were fighting against the Japanese invasions in China.
    During the war, he flew over 3,000 hours, mostly instrument navigation during the flight missions, and was later put in charge of plane crash investigations.
    He ended his service duties as a retired reserve major in Oakland.
    He worked for Ballenger and Co. as a West Coast salesman for hospital supplies for 10 years before establishing his own manufacturing business in Oakland, Professional Apparel Co., which made specially designed apparel for hospitals and patients throughout the state.
    In 1960, he opened his own retail medical uniform store in Oakland, which he later expanded. He opened his second store in Pleasant Hill in 1980.
    He enjoyed camping in Yosemite during the summer, planning family reunions at the Yosemite Lodge and the Ahwahnee Hotel, and traveling up the West Coast in his motor coach.
    He moved to Groveland with his daughter and her husband in 2007.
    Mr. Stofle is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Jim Novak, of Groveland; granddaughter, Jessica Novak, of Groveland; and two great-grandchildren, who both live in Groveland.
