Helen Miller, 84, who had made her home with her daughter Jean McClish in Pine Mountain Lake died in a Sonora hospital. Her husband Homer died in March, 1981.
A California native, Mrs. Miller had lived in Glendale for 64 years. She was an active church member and member and past supreme president of the Social Order of the Beauceant, a Masonic organization.
She leaves two daughters, Jean McClish, Pine Mountain Lake and Barbara Smith of Washington state and a son, Homer Miller Jr. of San Diego, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Sonora resident Lloyd “Butch” Henry Kolpack II died Dec. 14 at his home. He was 65.
Born in Milwaukee, Wis., he and his family later moved to Southern California then to Tuolumne County, where he excelled in many sports programs at Summerville High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy before working in the construction field in the western and central United States. In his retirement he spent several years in Phoenix, Ariz., where he maintained the grounds of a U.S. Veteran’s Cemetery.
While in Arizona he also led groups of veterans in alcohol and narcotics rehabilitation, counseling them in life-coaching skills, obtaining certificates and awards in the field.
He moved to Sonora in 2007 to be closer to his family. He helped with fundraising events for his niece Nicole Kolpack, who was injured in a car accident. This is where he met his wife, Lynda.
He enjoyed Tai Chi, meditation and leather crafts.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dr. Richard G. and Hilda Talbert, of Fort Worth, Texas; wife, Lynda Russo Kolpack, of Sonora; children, Lloyd Henry Kolpack III, of Oregon City, Ore., and Noah Scott Kolpack, of Susanville; stepchildren, Anthony Perry, of Twain Harte, and Dana Schotte, of Napa; grandchildren, Brian Stevenson, of Southerland, Ore., Noah Kolpack, Cody Collins and Bailey Kraus, all of Sonora, Jon Perry, of Twain Harte, and Haley and Brandon Schotte, both of Napa; siblings, Glenn H. Kolpack and Linda Alderman, both of Sonora, Gary White, of Homeland, and Jerry White, Brinda Marx and Denise Kivi, all of Slinger, Wis.; an uncle; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Henry Kolpack I; and a nephew.
An outdoor celebration of life will be held at his brother’s home in Sonora at a later date.
