     Mrs. Edner was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was also a member of a bridge club and enjoyed traveling.3 She and Clarence F Edner moved to Groveland circa 1980. She and her husband bought the property fronting Highway 120 where the De Martini family once lived and built a commercial building -- the Edner building -- on the site. Early occupants were the doctor's office (occupied first by Dr. Steve Bradley and later by Physician's Assistant Nick Dobler) -- predating the Groveland Medical Clinic-- and Barbara Matecki's discount store, the original Twice at Nice at Half the Price, which occupied the lower level.4

    A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 18 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Groveland, Highway 120, Big Oak Flat. Neptune Society of Central California in Modesto is handling arrangements.

    Arthur William Breiter, of Groveland, died Dec. 30 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. He was 86. Mr. Breiter was born in Berkeley. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946, in the Okinawa campaign. He received a Meritorious Mast for his duty.

    Mr. Breiter worked as a plumbing contractor for 44 years in Walnut Creek. He moved to Groveland to be near a cousin and because he enjoyed the golfing in the area, his family said. He lived there for 12 years.

    Mr. Betz was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Bonetti; and stepfather, Frank Santos. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Breiter, of Groveland; son, Steven Breiter, of Citrus Heights; and sister, Joan Blake, of Roseville.

    A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 18 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Groveland, Highway 120, Big Oak Flat. Neptune Society of Central California in Modesto is handling arrangements.
