Real Problem:
I do not know from where the two sons James and Louis are derived;

I have looked at the census page that is quoted:
ED 167, 1910, Page 7A

The last entry for a son could be either John or Louis, as your interpretation might indicate. I do not see anything that looks like James to me. We have 9 children and Marilyn Roberts who wrote the book says 7. She does not have either James or Louis listed and after reading the 1910 census, I would delete them from the family. But then who was born 1894??????? I will contact Marilyn and see what I can figure out.

     Louie Ulloa was said to be born on 22 March 1879 at California. If he was Domingo's son, it is far more likely he was born in California.3,4 He was the son of Louis Ulloa and Pauline (Hammill) Ulloa Kassabaum.2,1 Louie Ulloa married Nellie (Musasnte) Ulloa Lumsden, daughter of Giacomo "James" Musante and Amelia (Mangini) Musante, on 1 May 1918 at Sonora, Tuolumne Co., California.5 Lewis Edward Ulloa and Nellie (Musante) Ulloa were divorced in 1927 at Tuolumne Co., CA.6 Louie Ulloa died on 27 August 1970 at San Andreas, Calaveras Co., California, at age 91.4 He was buried at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Sonora, Tuolumne Co., California.4
     He Did the concrete work on the Ulloa and Morton plots at OLMC. Previous researchers have incorrectly identified him as the son of Domingo and Martha. Louie Ulloa was also known as Lewis Edward Ulloa. Sometimes he is Lewis Edwards Ulloa, hinting that one of his parents was an Edwards. He appeared on the census of 1880as 2-year-old Louis Ulroe in the household of Louis Ulloa and Pauline (Hammill) Ulloa Kassabaum at Branch Township, Stanislaus Co, California.7 In 1990 Clara Fulton told Dr. Alan Repashy in an oral interview that Martha Ulloa, Louie's mother, lived with Tim Carlon. Louie didn't like Carlon, and left the household at age 14. In fact, Louie's mother Pauline (Hammill) Ulloa Kassabaum went to work as housekeeper for Tim Carlon after the death of her second husband in April, 1894. Louie may have struck out on his own about that time, or he may have clashed with his German-born stepfather and indeed left home at 14 -- before Kassabaum's death. Whatever the case, Martha Ulloa was NOT the mother of this Louie Ulloa.8 Louie Ulloa was visiting at Sonora, Tuolumne Co., California, on 1 September 1900.9 He appeared on the census living alone of 1910 at Groveland, Tuolumne Co., California.10 He was registered for the draft on 12 September 1918 at Groveland, Tuolumne Co., California, 95321.11 By 1920, Louis was married and a father. He and Nellie (Musante) Ulloa appeared on the census of 1920 at Groveland, Tuolumne Co., California, with their 9-month-old daughter, Nellie L.12 Eugene M. Jones appeared on the census of 1930 at 3rd Twp, Tuolumne Co., CA.13 Louie Ulloa appeared on the census of 1930 at Groveland, Tuolumne Co., California.14 He was registered for the draft on 26 April 1942 at Tuolumne Co., California.15

W. Cumming of Big Oak Falt in Will:
D. W. Cumming, a pioneer of Tuolumne county and for long years a resident of Big Oak Flat, has fallen heir to a princely sum of money. His wife, three sons and a daughter are also generously remembered in the will of a Vancouver, British Columbia, capitalist, who recently died in that city.
The decedent, whose name could not be ascertained, many years ago married a sister of Mr. Cummings, now long since deceased. Subsequently, during the Fraser River gold excitement Mr. Cummings assisted financially this brother-in-law who sought with thousands of others the then new gold fields, which proved worthless. He did not return to California, but settled in the northern country. Nothing was heard of him until a few weeks ago when Mr. Cummings attention was directed by a friend to a press dispatch in the daily papers, which besides announcing the death gave the information that the decedent had made liberal provisions for the Cumming family in the distribution of his fortune.
From a Big Oak Flat resident we learn that Mr. Cumming was left $10,000, and that his wife and four children, combined, had been left several thousand dollars more.
Mr. and Mrs. Cummings left for Vancouver on Thursday of last week and are now in that city to look after their interests in the estate. On Wednesday the children executed a power of attorney and sent it to their parents that they might be able to receive such moneys as are coming to them under the terms of the will.
