     Elizabeth (Doverspike) Hetrick was born in 1791 at Mistabel Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.^2,3 She married Frederick Hetrick, son of Jacob Hetrick and Lydia (Shaffer) Hetrick, in 1809 at Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.² Elizabeth (Doverspike) Hetrick died in 1856 at Polk Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania; CAUTION -- There is also a burial claimed for this individual in Washington Co., Nebraska. Further work needed for clarification.² She was buried in 1856 at Polk Twp, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.⁴

     According to McKnight's History of Jefferson County, Jacob joined the Rev. War at under 16 years of age. He was with the 8th Co., 7th Bttn., York County Militia. On 5 April 1778 he was commissioned 1st Leiut. and served to the end of the war. (Pa. Arch. 6th Series, Vol. II, p. 562). After the war he went to Erie County [PA] and aquired a land grant.³
