Called Stan by his family and friends, Stanley C. Joseph was born on 17 June 1913 at Alameda Co., California.3,4 He was the son of Emanuel C Joseph and Vivian (Revat) Joseph.2
Stanley C. Joseph married Ruth (Dudgeon) Joseph, daughter of Floyd Dudgeon and Fay (Pickrell) Dudgeon, in 1934 at Oakland, Alameda Co., California.1 Stanley C. Joseph died in 1998 at Jamestown, Tuolumne Co., California. Stan and Ruth had gone to dinner in Jamestown with friends. One minute he was enjoying a conversation over dinner, and the next minute he was gone.1 Ruth and Stan's ashes were buried together at the Masonic Cemetery in Sonora in an Episcopal Service offered at Easter in April 2005.1

From Cape Cod Stan, Ruth and their family moved to Washington DC where he served in the office of the Director of the National Park Service, Department of the Interior. Stan also worked with the development team for the Gateway National Recreation Area in New York City and across the river in New Jersey.8 He finished his 40 year service in Santa Fe, New Mexico, at the National Park Service Southwest Regional office as the Regional Coordinator for Federal and State lands and parks.
Stan and Ruth retired to Pine Mountain Lake near Groveland, California and Yosemite National Park. They lived out their lives as active and loved members of the community.9
