Elizabeth Flack was born circa 1815 at Vermont.1 She married William Flack circa 1833; presumed marriage, date roughly estimated, possibly in VT or NY. Elizabeth Flack died between 1881 and 1900; presumed death, since she does not appear in 1900 census.

Charlott was age 66, shown as born in Mass, with both parents born Massachusetts. She is the only Flack enumerated in Tuolumne Co. in 1880. We assume she is aka Elizabeth Flack. In 1881 Elizabeth Flack was owner of record of 160 acres of land at Chinese Camp, Tuolumne Co., California. This is a strong indication that William is deceased and that Elizabeth survived him. It gives credence to the hypothesis that she is the person enumerated as Charlott Flack in Chinese Camp in the 1880 census.4
