    His family said he loved the open sea, the outdoors and golfing, and fishing was the sport that he loved most.
    Mr. McCarty is survived by his wife, Mona McCarty of Columbia; his mother, Evelyn Niven of Oregon; a sister and brother-in-law, Earlene and Art Arthur of Crooked River Ranch, Ore.; his children and spouses, Kenneth L. and Laurie McCarty of Groveland, Troy Dean and Berta McCarty of Palmdale, Los Angeles County, and Kimberly Dawn McCarty of Modesto; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three nephews; numerous other relatives; and lifelong friends.

She also worked as an elementary school bus driver in Groveland. Mrs. Fausette was a founding member of Buck Meadows Community Church, which her family built.
    Mrs. Fausette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil R. Fausette Sr., in 1987; son, Bill John Nagy, in 1987; and brothers, David O. Hallowell and Bill R. Hallowell.
    She is survived by her children, Cecil Fausette Jr., of Merced, and Lona J. Eckles, of Groveland; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ring, of Cloverdale, Amber Lloyd, of Groveland, Terra Klein, of Groveland, Jessica Holden, of Groveland, Daniel Fausette, of Oregon, Gabe Fausette, of Oregon, and Renee Fausette, of Merced; and 18 great-grandchildren.
