Fisher was dates approximate - Construction Worker, Tom Connolly Construction: Hetch Hetchy Project, Priest Reservoir and Browns Adit; Yerba Buena Tunnel in San Francisco; Owyhee Dam, Nyssa OR; oil company, Antioch, CA between 1922 and 1945. He was injured on the job at Browns Adit, and taken to the Hetch Hetchy Hospital in Groveland where Dorothy Conwell was nursing. Being a local boy who she knew, and not too badly hurt, Dorothy pressed David into service to perform some of the essential but unskilled tasks in the hospital while he was recovering from his injuries.1

     Gertrude Dix Postlethwaite was born on 26 January 1875 at Ohio.1,2 She married William Charles Postlethwaite, son of J. C. Postlethwaite and Louisa (McClung) Postlethwaite, in 1899; In the 1900 census, Gertrude and William are in Kansas living as a couple with no children. In 1930 Gertrude declares that she was 24 at her first marriage. We therefore conclude that they were married in 1899, probably in Kansas but possibly in Ohio since William's mother was from Ohio. Gertrude Dix Postlethwaite died in 1940 at Canyon Co., Idaho.1
     Gertrude Dix Postlethwaite was also known as Gertrude Dix.3 She and William Charles Postlethwaite appeared on the census of 11 June 1900 at Grant Township, Jewell Co., Kansas.
