Burials at Divide Cemetery

Brodie
Margaret b. 1864
Thomas b. 1828, d. 1901

Karen,
Was Thomas Brodie's obituary published in the Tuolumne Independent in 1901?
Based on the tomestone in the Divide Cemetery, he was buried in 1901. According to Jennie Baird letter dated January 30, 1963, "Thomas Brodie came into the U.S.A. via Port of New York either the last part of December 1899 or beginning of January 1900. He was only in this country three weeks to the day he was buried."
December 1899 or January 1900, in Jennie Baird's letter does not make sense if Thomas Brodie was buried in 1901 and he lived only three weeks in the United States. Jennie must have meant December 1900 or January 1901. If this is correct, then Thomas Brodie's obituary would have been published in either January or February 1901.
I have tried to find a Thomas Brodie entering the United States betwen 1899 and 1901 who was born between 1828 (the date of the grave) and 1831 (the date on Scotland census). Unforunately, I cannot find him.
Del Brodie.

Yes, indeed! The cash prize paper doll color contest goes on mostmerily every week, and every week, too, more merry smiles assre spreading over the faces of the winners.

After this, only those dolls that are really excellent --- almost prize-winners -- will be given honorable mention. They will be the dolls that go to the Sanitorium. And, of course, the dolls that are sent out there will be the pretty ones, the kind that you'd want someone to send for you. ...
