     Grover Cleve Mosley was born on 30 April 1927 at Columbia, Maury County, Tennessee.1 He was the son of Jasper Robert Mosley and Nola (Pinkleton) Mosley. Grover Cleve Mosley married Peggy (Simmons) Mosley, daughter of Ophie E. (Snyder) Simmons, on 2 August 1959 at San Bernardino Co., California;
Peggy A. Turner???2 Grover Cleve Mosley died on 12 August 2013 at Modesto, Stanislaus County, California, at age 86.1 He was buried after 12 August 2013 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Big Oak Flat, Tuolumne Co., California.1
     He appeared on the census of 11 April 1930 at Columbia City, Maury County, Tennessee.3 He served in the US Navy and honorably discharged in 1946.4 He was managed the tire department in Sears stores for 20 years.     Pine Mountain Lake resident Grover Cleve Mosley died Aug. 12 at Kaiser Permanente-Modesto Medical Center after a long illness. He was 86.
    Mr. Mosley was born in Columbia, Tenn., to Jasper and Nola Mosley.
    Mr. Mosley served on a destroyer in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946.
    He learned floral design from a friend’s mother at a young age and moved to Memphis to work for United Wholesale Florists. There, he met his future wife, Peggy Simmons. He and his wife moved to Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino in 1959 due to her service in the Air Force.
    Mr. Mosley managed the tire department at Sears stores for 20 years. He later worked as a procurement specialist for the research and development department of Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Sunnyvale, beginning in 1979.
    He retired from Lockheed in 1992, after he and his wife purchased the Groveland Hotel in 1990 and worked to restore the buildings. He was innkeeper until 2012. He enjoyed golfing and floral design.
    Mr. Mosely was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Horace Mosley, in 2002, and Katherine (Mosley) Copeland, in 2011; daughter, Helen Cheryl Latch, in 2011; and grandson, Dino Mosley, in May.
    He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Mosley, of Pine Mountain Lake; his children and their spouses, Robert W. and Stephanie Mosley, of Campbell, Kenneth B. and Patty Mosley, of Copperopolis, and Howard J. and Jan Mosley, of Pope Valley; grandchildren, Joey Mosley, of Simi Valley, Randall Mosley, of Pope Valley, Steven Mosley, of Campbell, Kyle Mosley, of Campbell, Chris Latch and wife Jennifer, of Corinth, Miss., and Angela Morgan and husband, Todd, of Little Rock, Ark.; and three great-grandchildren.
    Donations in his memory can be made to the California Hotel and Lodging Association Education Foundation, 414 29th St., Sacramento, CA 95816.
    A military funeral with 21-gun salute was held Saturday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Big Oak Flat. A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Groveland Hotel, 18767 Main St. in Groveland. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
