"Life too hard to bear"
For this reason a mining man takes his life.

Indianapolis, Aug. 5 - The following note has been received at a hotel where H. D. Brunson, an agent of a western mining enterprise has been a guest for several weeks:

"Please send my bill to Butter-field, Los Angeles, Calif., No. 306-307 Bryson block.

When directed please dispose of my belongings as they request. When this reaches you I

shall be gone forever. Life for me is too hard to bear.

"Sincerely, H.D. Brunson."

The receipt. of the note occasioned the first alarm on account of the man's absence.

His effects were examined and a box of cartridges with one cartridge missing was found.

Brunson is said to have a revolver. The manager of the hotel says Brunson was worried

because of failure to received replies to telegrams sent to Mexico City.
     He was (an unknown value) on 24 May 1900 at Bickwell Mine, East of Big Oak Flat, Tuolumne Co., CA.1
