I don't know much at all about the Gerkens, but did Mary Alice tell you the story about how Uvelora got her name? Mary Alice told me a while back that Uvelora's parents were living in Big Oak Flat when Uvelora was a baby. They hadn't named her yet, and some gypsys were going by. When the gypsys heard she hadn't been named yet, they suggested she be named Uvelora. They said if she had that name she would never want for anything, she'd be a golden child. And Mary Alice said they had been right. She said she always had the bubbliest personality.1 She and Raymond M.
